LIMAThe best way of exploring Peru is to arrive to the city of Lima. In Lima you could visit one of Peru’s most prominent and complete museum, the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History. From Lima you could go to Huraz, “Peruvian Switzerland”. On your way there enjoy the panoramic views and experience the view of Peru that many tourist don’t experience. From Huraz you can visit the Huascan National Park. Here you can enjoy your day sightseeing through the quiet country road, lush eucalyptus forest and stunning vistas that make up this park. From Huraz you can also travel to Chavin de Hauntar, a great religious center built more than 3,000 years ago.
Travel from Huaraz to Sechin where the stone Sechin archeological site is. Then you could continue to the colonial city if Trijillo, located on the Moche River. Trujillo, “City of Eternal Spring”, you can visit La Merced Church and El Recreo Square. The highlight of the trip will probably be visiting the pre-Inca civilization architecture made by the Moche. There most known building is the Temple of the Sun, the tallest pyramid in the Americas. Steps away you could visit the temple of the moon and its colorful murals. After this you could visit Chan Chan the former capital of the Chimu Empire, the largest empire of pre-Columbian America.
Journey to the city of Chiclayo and the 4th century complex of Huaca Rajada, these are very impressive pyramids and ro\yal mausoleumsthat were dedicated to The Lord of Sipan. Here you can explore the Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum. From Trijillo travel to Cuzco where you coukd take a coach and decend through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You could visit Awana Kancha, a living museum of the Peruvian Andes. After this you could visit the Pablo Seminario Ceramic Studio to learn about this internationally-known artist work. From the Sacred valley of the Incas you can travel to Machu Picchu one of the new seven wonders of the world. Hidden by mountains and the semi-tropical jungle for thousands of years this is just the most spectacular sight to visit in South America. After visiting the beautiful archeological site of Machu Picchu you can make your way back to Cuzco. You could visit the Cathedral, Sato Domingo and the Plaza de Armas. Also, discover the inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman Fortress and ceremony centers of Tambomachy, Qenco, Puca Pucara and Lanlacuyoc, “The temple of the moon” which is still used for Andean religious practices. After you explore all that Cuzco has to offer you can go back to Lima where you can explore this beautiful city before you return back home.
